I’m Dr. Gady Abramson, and I started Back To Mind in 2002 in Hollywood with a simple mission: deliver the best possible care to our community. Before chiropractic, I explored several medical fields, including neurology, surgery, family medicine, and psychiatry. I chose chiropractic because of its ability to deliver real results through focused, hands-on attention.
The response in Broward County let us grow into Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, and Tamarac, and eventually into Miami-Dade County with our Kendall, North Miami, and Doral offices. More than 36,000 patients later, the mission hasn’t changed. Our Kendall clinic exists so that families across this part of Miami, from The Hammocks to Pinecrest, don’t have to drive across the county for the same standard of care.

What Does a Chiropractor Actually Do?
Patients ask me this more often than you’d think, so let’s answer it plainly. A chiropractor is a licensed doctor, a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), who diagnoses and treats musculoskeletal conditions: problems of the spine, joints, muscles, and the nerves they affect. After four years of graduate training, we use hands-on methods, primarily the chiropractic adjustment (also called spinal manipulation), to restore normal joint motion, relieve pressure on pinched nerves, reduce inflammation, and support the nervous system’s normal function.
What makes chiropractic care different from simply taking medication is the target. Pain relievers quiet the symptom. A chiropractic adjustment addresses the mechanical problem producing the symptom: the restricted joint, the irritated nerve, the muscle spasm guarding an injury. That’s why chiropractic care is drug-free and non-invasive, and why it pairs so naturally with physical therapy and rehabilitation, which rebuild the strength and range of motion that keep the problem from returning.
